Deputy President Prof Kithure Kindiki has urged Kenyans to embrace dialogue to resolve grievances and concerns, emphasizing that violence and chaos hinder national progress.

Prof Kindiki stated that the country cannot advance amidst destruction when solutions can be found through discussion.

"Our countrymen, I'm asking you to find ways to talk and dialogue; we cannot build the country through chaos. I beg you, my fellow countrymen, we cannot move our country forward through chaos and incitement. We must learn to solve our problems through consultations and peaceful means."

The Deputy President made these remarks on Monday during an Economic Empowerment Forum for Women Groups and Saccos at Mkunguni Grounds in Lamu West Constituency, Lamu County. He had earlier attended a similar event in Faza, Lamu East Constituency.

"Every Kenyan is free to express themselves and to raise objections, but let's do it peacefully. There is nothing more precious than the peace and stability of a country."

The DP stressed that violence resolves nothing and called on those planning such actions to reconsider. "Those planning chaos should know it's not the way to solve problems but a way to destroy our country."

As he concluded a week-long series of empowerment forums across the five coastal counties ,Tana River, Taita Taveta, Kilifi, Mombasa, and Lamu. The Deputy President highlighted that the tangible development efforts across the country are laying a strong foundation for President William Ruto's second term.

The second-in-command affirmed the administration's commitment to ensuring equitable development for all parts of the country, noting that this is what most Kenyans expect from any government, thereby easing the path for the President's re-election.

Professor Kindiki asserted that development isn't just rhetoric but involves real projects that improve people's lives. "We are not just merely talking about two terms. We are saying if we have done 400 new modern markets in the first term, we will do another 2,000 markets in the second term. If we are building roads like in Lamu East, which has benefited from its first-ever tarmac road, we will do more in the second term. We cannot claim to be a united country when there is a constituency without a tarmac road. This is what President Ruto is changing," the DP explained.

The DP reiterated that all Kenyans will receive equitable projects and a fair share of resources, vowing to reject any attempts to divide them based on region, tribe, or religion.

"All Kenyans have been rightly born in this country and have equal rights to development like everyone else. You cannot say you don't deserve development because of where you come from or where you were born; we will not accept that."

The DP also mentioned that the Ruto government has eliminated discrimination associated with ID issuance in remote counties, making it easier for locals to obtain this crucial document without many obstacles.

"Because of the President's instructions, all Kenyans are now being given IDs without many complications. There is also no fee, and our youth can now get them without challenges. No fee and no extra vetting."

At the same time, he urged the opposition to offer concrete solutions for national progress instead of resorting to slogans and incitement.

"Our opponents are plan-less; they are stuck in 'Ruto Must Go, One Term, Kasongo.' Is there such a manifesto? They don't have anything for Kenyans. Don't listen to them; they will dupe you into supporting them, yet they haven't stood with you during your time of need," he cautioned.
