Driver fatally stabbed after his vehicle stalls in Cabanas

Police are investigating the murder of a driver who was fatally stabbed multiple times after his vehicle stalled in the Cabanas area along Mombasa Road. 

The victim, identified as John Arema Geke, was heading home in his salon car after a night out. 

According to the police report, he was accompanied by a woman at the time of the incident. 

His vehicle developed a mechanical issue and came to a stop in Cabanas.

During this time, a man on a motorbike approached, claiming he wanted to help with the vehicle.

However, a confrontation quickly escalated, and the rider, who was armed with a knife, stabbed Geke twice. He sustained two deep wounds; one on the left side of his chest and another in his lower abdomen. 

Police arrived at the scene later and assisted in transferring the body to the mortuary. The woman who was with him was left in shock and remained at the scene to provide further information to the authorities.

A post-mortem examination and further investigations are pending. No arrests have been made yet, but an active manhunt for the suspect is underway following the incident that occurred on the morning of June 14, according to the authorities. 

Officers often advise victims to comply with attackers when necessary, depending on the specific circumstances, for their safety.
