Talking to Getembe TV Ibeno Ward MCA Steve Arika has urged locals to support one another, particularly in assisting widows and those vulnerable.
He emphasized the importance of reporting cases of Gender-Based Violence (GBV) without fear.
Through collaborations with local leaders and health promoters, the MCA's initiative aims to identify obstacles and provide support, including educational support.
Arika invited widows to attend a Widows' Day celebration on June 23 in his Ward. The event to be attended by notable guests, including Governor Simba Arati and representatives from Shafco, Social Service, Land Registration, and Youth Foundation will help identify various gaps in the support system.
Arika also encouraged people to be free to share their opinions even the upcoming MCA.
