President Ruto hosts Kenya Police FC and Bullets FC

In a rare blend of celebration and recognition, President William Ruto Tuesday welcomed Kenya Police Football Club and Kenya Police Bullets FC to State House, Nairobi, for a high-profile breakfast event honoring their exceptional performances on and off the pitch.

The President, while addressing the gathering, praised the teams for their unmatched zeal and discipline, noting that their accomplishments reflect the spirit of patriotism and resilience embedded in the country’s security services. 

“Your success in football, while balancing the demands of duty, embodies the best of Kenyan spirit."

In his remarks, the Head of State emphasized the transformative role of sports in society and applauded the leadership behind the teams, including Patron and PS for the Ministry of Interior, Dr. Raymond Omollo; Deputy Patron and Inspector General of Police, Douglas Kanja; and Chairman of the National Police College Main Campus Kiganjo, Nyale Munga, SAIG.

President Ruto further acknowledged the support systems that fuel the teams’ growth from the Board of Management to sponsors and development partners urging increased private sector participation in sports development. 

He reiterated the government’s commitment to advancing sports infrastructure, logistics, and talent development within disciplined forces.

The breakfast event brought together top government officials including CS for Interior, Kipchumba Murkomen; CS for Sports, Salim Mvurya; CS for Mining and Blue Economy, Hassan Joho; and PS for Sports, Elijah Mwangi.

The event concluded with a renewed sense of purpose among the players, a pledge of continued support from the state, and a reminder that excellence in service and sports can indeed go hand in hand.
