Pyrethrum Company gets new MD marking a new dawn for the industry

Principal Secretary in the Ministry of Agriculture, Dr. Kipronoh Ronoh Paul led a pivotal leadership transition at the Pyrethrum Processing Company of Kenya Ltd Board, marking a renewed chapter in the revitalization of Kenyaโs pyrethrum sector.ย
During the ceremony, Njoroge Wachira was formally appointed as the Acting CEO, a move widely welcomed as a step toward strengthening institutional capacity and driving sectoral reform.
The PS emphasized the governmentโs unwavering commitment to agricultural transformation, noting that strategic investments in pyrethrum are already yielding tangible improvements in productivity and farmer incomes.
He reiterated the importance of empowering growers through expanded market access and sustained support, with the ultimate goal of enhancing livelihoods and fostering inclusive economic growth.
The PS also urged the Board and management to embrace bold reforms, calling for streamlined operations, proactive engagement with farmer concerns, and the restoration of trust across the value chain.ย
