Stolen Livestock in Meru recovered in police swift action

Police in Meru County have successfully rescued 12 cattle that had been stolen on Saturday last week.Β 

The incident was reported on four days ago prompting a swift response from officers at Kangeta Police Station.

Upon receiving the report from concerned locals, the officers wasted no time and embarked on a patrol operation on June 28. Their efforts led them to the Ndurumu area, where the stolen cattle were cleverly hidden deep within the bush.

With determination and perseverance, the police managed to locate the missing livestock and safely escort them to the Bullow area in Igembe North.Β 

The recovery brought immense relief to the families who had feared for the worst.

The National Police Service expressed their unwavering commitment to protecting lives and property. They emphasized the importance of collaboration with the community in combating crimes like cattle theft, reassuring the public of their dedication to ensuring safety and security for all.

This successful operation not only showcased the effective partnership between law enforcement and local residents but also shed light on the ongoing battle against livestock theft in the region.Β
