Security officers and their families from Southern Nyanza counties on Thursday gathered in Homa Bay for their annual thanksgiving and prayer service, held at St. Paul’s Catholic Town Parish Grounds.
The event, themed “God Strengthens and Keeps Me Secure” (Psalm 18:32), brought together personnel from KPS, APS, DCI, Prisons, KWS, NYS, and KFS.
Bishop George Muthaka of Garissa diocese, who led the service, praised the officers’ dedication and urged them to serve with integrity, compassion, and courage.
Homa Bay County Commissioner Moses Lilan, the chief guest, encouraged teamwork, faith, and mentorship, reminding officers that family support is key to their success.
The event fostered unity and spiritual renewal among the region’s disciplined forces, with several senior officers from across agencies in attendance.
